Tampere Vocational College Tredu offers Business studies in English. The
program provides broad basic skills for Customer service, Sales and
Marketing communications in international context. The studies are
centered around business, including entrepreneurship, project management
and event production.
You will learn by doing - the college environment provides you with plenty of possibilities for teamwork and projects to organize sales fairs, parties and many kinds of events. You will also have lot of practical studies and on-the-job-learning, carried out in workplaces, e.g. in retail businesses, online shops, in corporate customer services or in the offices of various organizations in Finland or abroad.

The scope of the vocational qualification in business is 180 competence points. The qualification is composed of vocational units (145 competence points) and common units (35 competence points).
The qualification title produced by
the vocational qualification in business is merkonomi.
Business studies in English, in the multicultural environment,
will prepare you for the international tasks in labor market or
contribute to the higher education studies. In the beginning of studies, the focus is
gaining skills needed in the business field, by completing the three
compulsory units: Customer service, Productive operation, and Acting in a

paths that may focus, for example, on Customer Service, Sales and Marketing Communications and Content Production, and in addition either on Working in a Project and Event Production or on Planning a business and Working in a Company.
Expose yourself to job opportunities and build future contacts by taking part in international student exchanges, projects and tutoring. There are many opportunities for you during the studies. The language studies include Finnish, Swedish, English and an additional foreign language.
It is possible to prepare for the national matriculation examinations during the studies and combine the general upper secondary education with this in five subjects (Finnish as a mother tongue or Finnish as a second language, English, Swedish, Mathematics, German, Social studies or Health Education). These studies are carried out during daytime, the language of instruction in Finnish.

The education is mainly targeted at the applicants of EU or people living in Finland. For foreign applicants, a connection (i.g. relatives, spouse etc.) to Finland is mandatory as well as a guardian or contact person in Tampere region for applicants under 18 years old minors.
