Graduates of the Vocational Qualification in Tourism Industry are able to work in customer service tasks in sales, accommodation or tourism services in the tourism industry. They are also able to design, commercialize and implement, market and sell tourism products and services.

The scope of the Vocational Qualification in Tourism Industry is 180 competence points. The qualification is composed of vocational units (145 competence points) and common units (35 competence points).
The qualification contains one compulsory unit, customer service in the tourism industry (30 competence points), one compulsory unit of the selected competence area (40 competence points in total), and optional units amounting to 75 competence points.
The Vocational Qualification in Tourism Industry comprises three competence areas and qualification titles. At Tredu you can study one of these in English, the competence area of accommodation services (receptionist).
This 18 months till two year program is for those who have completed studies equivalent to a Finnish matriculation examination or upper secondary vocational education and who have good command in English and Finnish languages.
In addition to customer service and English language skills, the studies provide expertise in hotel services and tourism environment. International networking during the study period includes on-the-job learning in Finland or abroad. During the studies you can also take part in international student exchanges, projects and tutoring.
