Tredu Students Join Tampere’s Startup Ecosystem at Platform6

Tredu students now have the chance to learn in a dynamic startup environment, thanks to a collaboration with the City of Tampere’s employment and growth services. The new multidisciplinary learning space is located at Platform6, the heart of Tampere’s startup scene.

Students will join the Platform6 community through hands-on projects in areas like property maintenance, lobby services, and event production. These tasks offer valuable work experience in an international, entrepreneurial setting.

Tredu’s new service manager, Abigel Varuhin, coordinates the collaboration and supports students throughout their projects.

– We want to offer as many educational fields as possible the opportunity to participate in this inspiring and authentic working environment. There are tasks related to building maintenance, startup community events, and lobby services. There are many opportunities; I am happy to receive suggestions, says Abigel.

Platform6 offers opportunities for students from different fields. Abigel Varuhin from Tredu coordinates the activities and welcomes new ideas.

Diverse Work Opportunities

All student tasks are supervised by teachers, with safety protocols in place. Pilot projects have already included event and media production.

The initiative is part of a broader reform of startup services in Tampere, explains Service Director Elina Wallin from the city’s business and economic services.

– The building hosts various events throughout the year, in which students will be closely involved in the future. This unique project introduces students to entrepreneurship, growth entrepreneurship, an international working environment, and a spirit of community. Companies can also offer internships directly to young people. I am excited to see what this can mean in the future.
