Content of the qualification

The Further Vocational Qualification in First-Level Management, 150 cp (competence points), is for those working, for example, as a work group or team leader, service supervisor, department or service unit supervisor or similar, or are moving into these positions.

Holders of a Further Vocational Qualification in First-Level Management have the skills to plan and direct the work of a work group and to familiarize employees or students with the workplace and tasks. They have good communication skills and can develop the activities of their work group. Depending on the optional part of the qualification, the graduate has special skills to strengthen customer relationships, improve the profitability of operations or develop personnel work in their own work group.

Training and graduation require an employment relationship and a work group/team that you supervise.

The most important characteristic in supervisory work is understanding people and interaction. A supervisor is also a good listener, communicator, trend setter, motivator, developer, result-maker, organizer and decision-maker.

You will gain competence, confidence and readiness for supervisory work.

  • New ideas and operating models for developing operations.
  • Knowledge of implementing legal regulations, rights and obligations in team management.

The scope of the Further Vocational Qualification in First-Level Management is 150 cp.

The study period is approximately from 6 months to 18 months or according to the personal study plan.

You can complete the full qualification or individual units.

How studies are carried out

  • Orientation day, online via Teams 13:00–16:00
  • Online sessions, online via Teams (Wednesdays 13:00–16:00, approx. twice per month)
  • Assignments in the Moodle learning environment
  • Workplace-based learning
  • Personal guidance
  • A workplace instructor is assigned in apprenticeship training
  • Most learning takes place at your workplace
  • The language of instruction is English

This training is suitable for you if you

  • have work experience in the field of cleaning services
  • are currently employed in the sector
  • have access to a computer
  • are fluent in English language
  • work in a suitable supervisory environment

Apprenticeships are suitable for different stages of your career. Whether you are an experienced worker or just starting out, an apprenticeship gives you the flexibility to combine work and study. Develop your skills while working in your own job, either as an employee or as an entrepreneur. In addition, apprenticeships include study days at the school and/or online and independent study.

For the employer, apprenticeship is a practical and work-based way to develop staff skills.

When the training is completed through an apprenticeship, the majority of studying and learning takes place at the student’s own workplace.
